Welcome to Bon Accord Baths

Bon Accord Heritage is a registered charity with the aim of working towards re-opening the historic Category B-listed Bon Accord Baths on Justice Mill Lane, which is one of the few remaining pools of its type in the country. In doing so, we hope to be able to restore and maintain the building’s impressive Art Deco features and expansive pool hall, while providing a number of other complementary resources and services through the use of previously under-utilised parts of the building.

We have an agreement in place with Aberdeen City Council, with whom we meet regularly. Bringing the Baths back as a community-led facility is however a long-term project and we hope to gain as much local support as possible! Please keep checking our page for updates.

If you would like more information or can help us in way, please get in touch!

As part of a live exhibition [Save Bon Accord Baths & Experimental Use of Space at the Baths], in August, artist Margaret Preston is gathering memories from people who have enjoyed the Baths. If you would like to be part of a film collage of memories about the Bon Accord Baths, please contact Margaret at margaret_preston@icloud.com to register an interest in participating in this project. Involvement could be through sharing an image of your photograph, a film clip, a spoken account or showing an object. Your memory of the baths can be ANYTHING – your memory and other variations will make this recollection exciting. We have no idea how many responses we will get, but we will try and include as much material as we can. If you are interested, please respond by the 10th of August. The film collage will be run in a loop during the exhibition at the Baths in August. To share memories, while protecting your personal information, if you wish, you can just provide your first name and your age or the approximate year of your memory. If you prefer you can send your memory without your name. If you choose to take part, we will assume that you also give permission for your material to be viewed at the Baths at the pop-up exhibition on Sunday 28th August and on Save Bon Accord Baths and Experimental Use of Space social media sites.
